Tabby: Build Your Own Car in an Hour

If you love assembling IKEA furniture, you will love what is coming next: assembling your own car. Italian company OSVehicle created Tabby, an open source hardware platform to build your own car.

It comes in a box with a small chassis plus powertrain platform. Tabby allows anyone, to create his or her own personalized vehicle. OSV (open source vehicle) is based on a universal platform that anyone can modify or improve to build the vehicle that best satisfies their needs.

It can be ordered online, ships with a box, and comes with an engine; with combustion, hybrid or electric options. It only takes 1 hour to assemble. Their pricing goal is under 6,000 Euros, beginning shipping next year. Tabby resembles a Ford Model T. from Henry Ford. Will this concept revolutionize the auto manufacturing industry?
