Cartersian EX¹: Rapid 3D Circuit Board Printer

Ever wanted to learn circuits by building them in real time? Now you can print circuits as easily as a word document. Cartesian created the EX¹, a printer that allows you to 3D print circuit boards by layering silver nano particles onto paper or other surfaces.

The EX¹ mixes two chemicals to produce silver nano particles ink, to be imprinted as an image on a substrate. It can print on conventional circuit board materials and various types of plastic, glass, wood, ceramic, silicone and even fabric and paper. The printer can print an area of 17.5cm x 8cm and weighs around 6kg when loaded with cartridges.
There are five ‘super early bird’ kits available for $899 and 20 ‘early bird’ kits priced at $1,199. This machine can quickly accelerate the process of circuit design and rapid prototyping to produce inventions.
