MIT & Berkeley: Vision Correcting Displays

What if displays had glasses so that people don't have to wear them? Researchers at the MIT Media Laboratory and the University of California at Berkeley created a display technology that automatically corrects for vision defects.

Using computer algorithms, the technique distorts the image on view, tailored to sharpen it for one specific viewer. This in an alternative for today's invasive or obtrusive methods such as contact lenses, surgery, or glasses. They are in prototype phase.
